# Volume, Revenue

Where to find volume, revenue, and other relevant business statistics.

In this post, we cover:

1. How Laso Finance generates revenue.
2. The live revenue dashboard.
3. How revenue flows into the treasury post-TGE (Token Generation Event).

## Revenue Sources

Laso earns revenue on a blend of [fees charged to users](https://laso.finance/fees) and discounts/interchange share from our issuers. We target a minimum 4.8% take rate on purchases on the platform, with a few minimal exceptions.

For example, if Laso receives a 2% discount on a card, we charge the user 2.8%, for a blended rate of 4.8%.T

o make that more concrete, if someone buys a $100 card:

1. User is charged $102.80, representing the 2.8% fee.
2. Laso pays issuer $98, representing the 2% discount.
3. Laso earned $4.80 in revenue.

After minimal averaged COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) such as swap fees, gas costs, and bank transfer fees, Laso Finance ends up with an average gross profit of, let's say, $4.61.

That results in the following:

| Metric | Amount |
| -------------------------- | ------- |
| Gross Payment Volume (GPV) | $102.80 |
| Revenue | $4.80 |
| COGS | $0.19 |
| Gross Profit | $4.61 |
| Gross Margin % | 96.04% |

Because those COGS are variable and sometimes incurred offchain, they are not included in the public revenue dashboard released today.

## Revenue Dashboard

We have a dynamic [volume and revenue page](https://laso.finance/stats) for you to view current statistics on the business is performing.

You can see the daily volume sent into the platform and revenue accrued during the selected time period.

Along with volume, we have daily revenue numbers.

On [the stats dashboard](https://laso.finance/stats), you can find up-to-date information on volume into the platform, revenue generated, and more.

## Revenue Flows

In our [original ICO X Article](https://x.com/LasoFinance/status/2069118136859656377), we briefly mention Laso Finance's flow of funds, pictured below.

<figure><img src="https://4199652940-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F594XROWggjchM2lduPt1%2Fuploads%2F2nbvNt1dP7gyxp7xoDj1%2FHLjBAdrXAAAOh5K.jpeg?alt=media&amp;token=f320560c-fe11-4b2c-a87c-c4bbefafe5c6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Currently, as pictured, revenue and GPV (Gross Payment Volume) flow from the exchange to Laso Finance's bank accounts where expenses are paid.

Post-TGE, we will make a slight modification to the top-right section of the chart.

Instead of revenue + GPV dollars flowing together into bank accounts, revenue will be separated and fed back to the public MetaDAO-generated treasury at the end of each daily sweep.

The following chart shows a simplified example, where Laso Finance receives $20,000 of volume in a day, resulting in $960 of revenue (a 4.8% take rate).

<figure><img src="https://4199652940-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F594XROWggjchM2lduPt1%2Fuploads%2FbxDPnALyHZ2wp8teUkKQ%2FHLjDAzgXIAAsB1x.png?alt=media&amp;token=2f8d8d0a-6641-4acd-9493-0facf937444b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Rather than letting the full $20,000 flow into Laso Finance bank accounts, the accrued revenue of $960 is sent directly onchain to the treasury wallet.

Please note that, in order to maximize the amount of capital available for the capital refill cycle, revenue is expected to begin flowing into the treasury only after the team has received its first Team Allowance distribution.
